Why would I want to back up and restore a course?
-Save the resources of your course if you teach at more than one institution that uses moodle.
-Save assignments that were submitted in your course.
-Because you can keep it without having your office looking like the picture to the left.

Backing up
Select what you want to back up.
-Notice the bread crumbs on the top of this image. There are 5 steps to complete the back up in this section.
1. Select the back-up settings that you want to save (shown above) and click "next."
2. Select the topics or assignments that you want to back-up and click "next."
3. You can keep the default setting for file name, or make your own. Double check that you are backing up everything that you want and click "preform backup."
4. Click on "complete."
Now you will be taken to the restore area.
