Email

All registered students at Alliant International University receive a network access and email account for the duration of their educational career with Alliant. Students are highly advised to check their Alliant email for notices from Financial Aid, Office of the Registrar, Admissions, Provost’s and President’s Office.

Logging In

You can access your Alliant Email account from any computer on campus, your personal computer, phone, and tablet.  Below are instructions on how to log in to your Alliant email.

1.  Open a web browser and go to https://mail.alliant.edu

2.   In the box "Domain\user name:"  Enter alliant\ and your username.  e.g. alliant\jsmith (see image below)3

3. In the box "Password" enter your password, the password is case sensitive.

4.  If you get redirected to the new system that means your account has been move to the new Microsoft Office 365 system you can find out more information about this system here

Setting Email Up On Your Phone and Tablet

Alliant is implementing a new email system Microsoft Office 365, not all students have been moved to the new system so instructions may be different. To find out which system you have log in to https://mail.alliant.edu if it redirects you to the new system you are on O365 and can follow the directions HERE, if not you are still on the old system and can use the information below.

Most phones and tablets have a similar setup when it comes to setting up Exchange email.  They want the domain, server, your username, and password.

Alliant's domain: Alliant
Server: mail.alliant.edu

For instructions on how to set up O365 email on your Android device click HERE


With O365 on iOS you will only need to complete the steps 1-5 below and it should sync, you may need to retry for it to sync.  More information on O365 can be found here.

Below is the example for how to set up Alliant's email on iOS. Starting from 1 click through the instructions pictured below.

Forwarding Email

Follow the directions below and the gallery to forward your email
  1. Log in to https://mail.alliant.edu
  2. Select "Options" in the top right, then select "Create an Inbox Rule.."
  3. Select "New"
  4. Under the first menu select "Apply to all messages" and under the second menu select "Redirect the              message to" 
  5. A new window will open, under "Message recipients" and "To->"  enter the email address that you want to forward  your e-mail to
  6. Select "Save"

All incoming messages will now forward to your selected address.
