Make the course available for student view

Picture
There are actually a couple different ways that you can make the course content visible for the students.

1. Login to your course in moodle and turn on editing in the top right hand corner.  (Notice that the option to turn off editing is available in this screen shot).

2.  Click on “edit settings” in the “Settings” block.

3. Scroll down to the “availability” section (shown below), and choose the option “available for student view” from the drop-down menu.

3. Scroll to the bottom and "Save changes."

Continue for more options, or to hide specific weeks or content from student view.

Hide one or more assignments/resources.

Picture
1.  With editing turned on, scroll down to the week with the assignment that you want to hide.
2.  Click on the small eye ball icon under the assignment (depending on the length of the title the eye ball may be to the right of the assignment).
3.  You will still be able to see the assignment, but students will not.

To hide the entire week, continue scrolling down this page.

Hide an entire week

Picture
1.  With editing turn on,  scroll to the week that you want to hide.

2.  Notice the small eye ball icon in the upper right-hand corner of the week.

3.  Click on the eye ball icon to hide the week.

4.  If this is already hidden, you can click again to unhide it.

5.  The light bulb icon above the eye ball makes this week the top week when students login to their course.  It is not necessary, but can be a nice feature if you are consistent about shifting the week up.
