Password Policy
Every 180 days faculty, staff, and students are required to change their password.
Password Strength Requirements:
Minimum of 8 characters with at least one UPPER and one lower case letter, a number, and special character (!@#$). Your name and/or ID# will not be accepted. Your new Password CANNOT be similar to your existing password(This applies to your last five passwords).

Resetting your password
1. Open a web browser and go to https://my.alliant.edu
2. On the left hand column under "Quick Links" select "Change Password"

3. If you wish to change your initial password or need to do your 180 day password change you may select " Password Reset"
If you have forgot your password and have already set up challenge questions you can select "Forgot My Password"

4. If you are unable to reset your password contact helpdesk at [email protected], they will verify your identity and reset your password for you.
