Share a Link for you Classmates on Moodle

1.  Make sure that you are logged in (notice just to the left that I am logged in).  
2.  In the light blue block, turn editing on.
3.  Scroll down to the week that you want to share the link (shown below in figure 1).

4.  Click on "add activity or resource" in the week that you want to add the resource.  
5.  A dialog box will open (shown below)

Select URL at the bottom and double click.

6.  Click on URL (scroll to the bottom of the list).
7.  A new dialog box will open (shown below).

Complete everything in red

8.  Give your resource a name.
9.  If you enter anything in the "description" box (optional), make sure that you check the box next to "display description on course page."
10.  Copy the URL from the link you are adding and paste it into the "external URL" field.  
11.  At this point, nothing other than clicking "save" is required.  You can, however, change the date that classmates can view the link in the next picture (see figure 2).

11.  Click "save and return to course."

12.  Note-everything that I typed into the description box is shown because I checked the box to show it.  Refer to step 9 if you do not see your description.
