SPSS - Personal Use Request Form

    The Information Technology department coordinates licensing for the SPSS statistical software line for Alliant University campuses for the Windows and Macintosh operating systems. The SPSS license is available to faculty and students for use on university owned-computers.

    You may NOT install SPSS on a privately-owned computer system using an Alliant license code unless specifically issued to you to do so by an authorized Alliant Information Technology department employee.  Permission for use on a private system may be requested by completing and submitting the form at the bottom of this page.

    IBM SPSS Statistics v23 (Windows) and v26 (Mac) is available for Alliant issued laptops and/or "At Home" use, to Alliant Core Faculty and to Alliant Students who are currently enrolled in a statistics (or statistics-related) course, or currently working on a dissertation. Please note there are a finite number of such licenses for the university, so private-use licenses will be issued only until the supply is exhausted.

    Alliant classroom, lab and faculty desktop computers should already have a concurrent use license for SPSS v23 installed and do not require submission of a request form.     You may not install this software on a server in order to share a single copy among multiple users. Additionally, you may not distribute or apply an issued code to other users and/or devices.  By use of an issued license code, you are agreeing to adhere to Alliant's IBM SPSS license agreement.

    Alliant's SPSS Premium Campus Edition license includes the following modules: Statistics Base, Advanced Statistics, Regression, Custom Tables, Data Preparation, Missing Values, Forecasting, Decision Trees, Direct Marketing, Complex Samples, Conjoint, Neural Networks, Bootstrapping, Categories and Exact Tests.

    AMOS, a structural equation modeling add-on package, is not available for at home use.
