Videoconference
Alliant International University conducts inter-campus videoconferencing via a dedicated network optimized to support videoconferencing. We have standardized on Tandberg endpoints in our classrooms and conference rooms. Alliant operates our own Tandberg MCU which allows for multi-point conferences and can incorporate internal and external participants over IP. Scheduling of all events is performed through our Tandberg Management System under the oversight of Learning Technology in conjunction with our local campus IT Coordinators. If you need videoconference assistance, please contact your local campus IT Coordinator. To schedule a videoconference you only need to complete and submit the online form via the link at the bottom of this page. You will NOT need to submit a room request(s) through AdAstra. Videoconference Scheduling
To request a videoconference event, please complete and submit an online form at least 2 weeks prior to your event. Upon receipt of your request, Learning Technology will check the availability of all rooms. You will be contacted if there are any conflicts and provided with possible options. If there are no conflicts or concerns regarding your request, the rooms will be reserved, a conference will be scheduled and you will be emailed a confirmation.
Conferences will be reserved on a first request received basis. Conferences will not be reserved beyond the current calendar year. To help ensure fulfillment, we recommend that you submit your request as early as possible.
We request that you contact Learning Technology at [email protected] or call the IT Helpdesk at 858-635-4357, option 1 for any changes or cancellations so that we can free up room, videoconference and personnel resources.
Please note that hands-on technical assistance is typically unavailable outside the hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday - Friday however the IT Helpdesk is covered 7:30 am - 7:30 pm Monday thru Friday and from 7:30 am -3:30 pm on Saturday.
