AMOS Windows Installation and Licensing

Requirements in order to Begin the Installation Process
  • A user account with full administrator privileges
  • A computer running a Microsoft Windows Operating System
  • A copy of the AMOS installation file (downloaded from the Alliant provided link)
  • At least 4 GB of available hard drive space for the installation.
Installation process
  1. Navigate to your "Downloads" folder in "Windows Explorer" by pressing keys "WindowsKey + E".
  2. Find file "ibm_spss_amos_client_26.0_m_w_m.zip" and highlight it by clicking on it once.

  1. Click on menu "Extract".
  2. Highlight file "IBM_SPSS_AMOS_CLIENT_26.0_M_W_M.exe" by clicking on it once.
  3. Click button "Extract all"

  1. Check "Show extracted files when complete"
  2. Click the button "Extract".

Once the zip archive is extracted, new window will open. Navigate to file name "IBM_SPSS_AMOS_CLIENT_26.0_M_W_M.exe" and double click it.

​Click on "Next" to being the installation of IBM AMOS.

  1. Press radio button "I accept the terms in the license agreement."
  2. Click on "Next".

Click on "Next".

Click on "Install". The installation will begin and will take a couple of minutes.

  1. Make sure to uncheck "Start IBM SPSS Amos 26 now"
  2. Click on "Finish".

Licensing

  1. Click the "Start" button
  2. Check on "Expand"

  1. Right click on "IBM SPSS Amos 26 License Authorization Wizard"
  2. Click on "More"
  3. Click on "Run as administrator"

Click on "Next"

  1. Select radio button "Authorized user license...".
  2. Click on "Next".

  1. Enter the license code from your email.
  2. Click on "Next".

On the next page you'll see the button "Finish". That completes the installation.
