Skype for Business
Alliant International University uses Microsoft Skype for Business to quickly connect with students, faculty, staff and business partners. Skype for Business is instant messaging (IM), online meetings, calling, video conferencing, and sharing and collaboration all rolled into one package.
Zoom
Alliant International University uses Zoom as our web-conference, lecture capture and delivery to augment our LMS platform and interaction for on-ground courses.
Web-conference Scheduling
If you require web-conference connectivity between multiple Alliant campuses, please complete and submit an online form at least 2 weeks prior to your event. Upon receipt of your request, Information Technology will check the availability of all rooms. You will be contacted if there are any conflicts and provided with possible options. If there are no conflicts or concerns regarding your request, the rooms will be reserved, and you will be emailed a confirmation.
Conferencing rooms will be reserved on a first request received basis. Conferences will not be reserved beyond the current calendar year. To help ensure fulfillment, we recommend that you submit your request as early as possible.
We request that you contact the Information Technology Helpdesk at ithelp@alliant.edu or call 858-635-4355 for any changes or cancellations so that we can free up room and personnel resources.
Please note that hands-on technical assistance is typically unavailable outside the hours of 8:00 am - 6:00 pm Monday - Friday however the IT Helpdesk is covered 7:30 am - 7:30 pm Monday thru Friday and from 7:30 am - 3:30 pm on Saturday.
