Q. What is the maximum capture area of the Scribe?
A. Scribe captures a max area of 6 x 4 feet / 2 x 1.2 meters.
Q. Can I connect Scribe to use with a laptop?
A. Yes. Scribe manifests as a regular USB camera (with enhanced whiteboard output) when connected to any computer. So you can share Scribe in any video applications as a primary or secondary camera.
Note: When sharing Scribe as a primary camera, the output resolution may vary depending on the video applications.
Q. Does the LED on Scribe indicate specific status?
A. Green = powered on, White = whiteboard being shared, Blue (blink) = Bluetooth pairing, Purple (blink) = firmware updating, Red = error
Q. Does the LED on the power supply indicate specific status?
A. Green (blink, 3-second interval) = Normal use, Green (blink, 5-second interval)= No connection, Green/yellow (fast blink)= error,
Yellow = over-current / short detected
Q. How do I pair Share Button to Scribe?
A. Each Scribe comes already paired with a Share Button out-of-the-box. If you need to re-establish pairing to your Share Button or if you need to pair a new Share Button, press the Bluetooth button on the camera for 10 seconds until the LED on the camera blinks blue. Then press and hold Share Button for 10 seconds or longer to put it in pairing mode. LED on Scribe will turn solid blue when paired. You will also hear a chime coming from the camera signifying pairing is complete.
Q. How do I record whiteboard content using Scribe?
A. Currently you can record whiteboard content by recording the meeting. Whiteboard content will be part of the recording.
Q. What resolution does Scribe support?
A. With Room Solutions that support Scribe as a whiteboard content camera source, Scribe shares whiteboards at 1080p/15 fps. Note that when used as a primary USB camera with desktop video meeting applications, maximum resolution may be limited by the software and/or cloud service.
Q. What operating systems are supported in USB mode?
A. Windows 10 and MacOS 10.15 and above

- How do I update Scribe’s firmware?
- Firmware updates can be done in Logitech Sync.
- How do I perform a factory reset of Scribe?
- Hold the factory reset button located on the right side of Scribe for 10 seconds.
- Can I use my own Power Injector?
- No. The included power supply is uniquely tuned to ensure that high-speed signals in USB communication are transmitted without errors or loss.
- How do I frame my whiteboard with Scribe?
- The very first time you start a whiteboard sharing session, Scribe will initiate auto-calibration.
If the corners are calibrated correctly, press the Share Button to confirm.
If you need to make adjustments, you manually frame the whiteboard in Logitech Sync.

- Download and open Logitech Sync
In Sync, select the Scribe you want to calibrate.
Under “Video” tab, click “EDIT BOUNDARIES”
Drag the four corners to fit the frame of your whiteboard.

- How can I re-trigger auto-calibration
- This can be done by either long-pressing the factory reset button on Scribe for 10+ secs or by pressing the "auto-calibrate" button in Sync.
- How far above the whiteboard should I mount Scribe?
- Use the included mounting template to position Scribe at the appropriate height above the whiteboard. The distance between the bottom edge of the camera base and the top edge of the whiteboard should be about 5 inch / 12.4 cm.
- What if I don’t have enough space above the whiteboard to mount Scribe 5 inches above?
- You can mount Scribe closer to the whiteboard if there is space constraint. If you decide to do so, you will have some area on the top of the whiteboard that doesn’t get into the view.
- Can I use Scribe without mounting it to a wall?
- No.
- How long do the batteries last in the wireless Share Button? How do I check battery life?
- The batteries should last about 2 years. Currently there is no way to check battery life, but we are working on a way to give warning of low battery.
