Reset Alliant's Cisco SPA502G and SPA514G VoIP Phones to Factory Defaults


On the phone press the menu button.

Scroll down until you highlight submenu "Factory Reset"​.
​Press "Select".

Press "OK".

The phone will reset with the following messages.

Wait until the that screen shows up on the phone.

Press the "menu" button.
Scroll down to submenu "Network".
​Press "Select".

Under "Current IP" field you'll see the IP address of the phone. Remember it, or write it down.
​You'll need it in order to continue with the reset procedure.

  • In a browser enter the IP the phone address.
  • Click on "Admin Login".
  • Click on "Advanced".

  • Click on "Provisioning".
  • Replace the string under "Profile rule" with:

​tftp://prov1.microtech-tel.net/phones/Arist/spa$MA.xml​

  • ​Press "Submit All Changes" button.

The following message will show up in your browser.
​Wait for approx 1 min until the phone reboots.

Press the "menu" button on the phone.
Scroll down to highlight submenu "Reboot".
​Press "Select".

Press "OK" to reboot the phone.
Once the phone is back, wait for a couple of seconds and it will reboot on its own once again.

That completes the procedure.
